The flute’s clear, pure tone has long been cherished in both sacred and concert settings, and we seek to cultivate that beauty in our students. Instruction at The Bach Academy emphasizes breath control, embouchure formation, finger technique, and musical phrasing, guiding students toward effortless and expressive playing. Beginners start with exercises that build breath awareness and simple melodies that awaken the ear to pitch and tone. More advanced students are led into the great classical repertoire and ensemble opportunities, learning to blend their sound and to shape musical lines with grace.
