Percussion studies at The Bach Academy combine the energy and excitement of rhythm with the discipline of refined technique. Students learn not only the mechanics of playing drums and auxiliary percussion but also the artistry of tone, dynamics, and timing that bring music to life. Instruction includes foundational skills such as grip, stroke control, and rhythm reading, progressing into orchestral percussion, snare drum, mallet instruments, and drum set depending on each student’s interests. Our approach helps students become versatile percussionists who can serve ensembles with precision and musical sensitivity.
