Maya Hamilton

Maya Hamilton is a pianist and church musician born and raised in Orlando, Florida. She grew up with five older sisters in a house with a large piano that went mostly unplayed, until she decided to bring it to life. She had an innate love of music from an early age, playing by ear,  learning the piano autodidactically from age 7, and beginning formal lessons with Will Daniels at 15. Maya has learned to love all kinds of music, influenced by her older sisters' popular music taste and inspired by the greats from her classical education as well. A few of her favorite composers and musicians are Franz Liszt, Joe Hisaishi and Cody Fry. She enjoys songwriting, composing and is learning production as well, striving to blend her favorite genres into its own unique sound. She also taught herself guitar, and enjoys singing as she plays. 

Maya participates heavily in her church's music ministry, singing as well as playing piano. She also helps lead and encourage the youth choir at her church when they prepare for their Christmas performance; and often led morning worship at her homeschool group, King Alfred Classical School. She participated in a music competition in which she earned  a superior (the highest rating one can receive), and has taken part in many recitals as well. She enjoys singing and playing hymns with family and friends on her home piano.

Maya believes that music shapes the culture, brings people together, and ultimately is made for the glory of God.

She graduated from King Alfred Classical School in May 2026 and has taken classes on Hillsdale Online to grow her knowledge of music. 

Maya enjoys spending time with her parents and her five sisters, her friends, and her church.
