Mariana Aguilera is a professional violinist and experienced violin teacher living in Melbourne, Florida. Originally from Venezuela, she began studying violin at a young age and trained at several respected music institutions in Venezuela and the United States.

Mariana earned a Master of Music in Violin Performance from Carnegie Mellon University, where she studied with Andrés Cárdenes and Carolyn Huebl. She has also completed Suzuki teacher training through Level 4, attended the Starling-DeLay Symposium on Violin Studies at The Juilliard School, and continued her development through private lessons and master classes.

As a professional musician, Mariana currently performs with the Brevard Symphony Orchestra. Her previous experience includes performing with the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra, the Venezuela Symphony Orchestra, the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, and other orchestras and festivals in the United States and Venezuela.

Mariana has taught violin since 2004 through her private studio and several music schools and youth programs. She teaches both traditional and Suzuki methods, helping students build strong technique, musical expression, confidence, and a lasting appreciation for music. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian and enjoys working with students from diverse backgrounds.

Experience :

Mariana has taught violin privately since 2004, working with students through both traditional instruction and the Suzuki method. She has held teaching positions at Wickham Road Music Academy, Pittsburgh Music Academy, the Center for Young Musicians, and Colegio Hebraica in Venezuela.

As a professional violinist, Mariana currently performs with the Brevard Symphony Orchestra. Her previous orchestral experience includes the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra, the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, the Venezuela Symphony Orchestra, the Youth Symphony Orchestra Distrito Federal, and the Spoleto Festival USA Orchestra.

She has also coached violinists, conducted master classes, and worked with chamber string ensembles throughout Venezuela. Her extensive teaching and performance background allows her to support students at a variety of skill levels.

Teaching Approach :

Mariana combines traditional violin instruction with the Suzuki method, adapting lessons to each student’s age, experience, learning style, and musical goals. She emphasizes proper posture, tone production, technique, musical expression, listening skills, and consistent practice habits.

Her goal is to build a strong technical foundation while encouraging students to play with confidence and enjoyment. She also draws from her professional orchestral and performance experience to help students prepare for recitals, auditions, ensemble playing, and advanced repertoire.
